Queen Sized

It’s Saturday afternoon and I’m vegging watching some old movies I rented from the movie store. When I say old I mean old! Put it this way I rented them for $0.50 and $1.00! lol

I came across the movie Queen Sized with Nikki Blonsky (she played in Hairspray). I’ve seen it before on Lifetime TV but wanted to watch it again because I love the message in the movie.

Maggie (Nikki) is the overweight girl that doesn’t fit in at her high school and as a mean prank the skinny, pretty, popular girls nominate Maggie as the homecoming queen. She ends up winning.

Plus Size Bloggers Summer 15 Contest – Weigh In

I’m still plugging along in the Plus Size Bloggers summer 15 contest. The goal of the contest is to lose 15 lbs from June 15th (start of the contest) to September 7th (end of contest).

If you’ve been following along over here you know that I’ve really been struggling with getting back on track with eating and exercising for quite awhile now (it all started Memorial Day weekend). And I’m still struggling! But I haven’t given up nor do I intend to give up.

So here’s this week’s weigh in (my camera batteries are dead & I tried recharging them but they still aren’t working…hoping it’s just an issue of the batteries being bad and not my camera!)

263.6 lbs
(5.6 lb GAIN)

264.0

(0.4 lb GAIN)

Blech! Another gain :-(

Plus Size Bloggers Summer 15 Challenge Weigh In

As part of the Plus Size Bloggers team I’m supposed to be setting an example and posting my weekly results for our contest going on right now – The Summer 15 Challenge. And I haven’t done it at all :-( Not a good example for those participating in the contest!

I didn’t do an official start weigh in so I’ll go from the weigh in on 6/9/2010 as my starting weight.

Reality Check Weigh In

If you’ve been following along over here at my quaint little place in cyber space you know I’ve been on this healthy journey since January 2010 but over the last month, just over a month, I’ve really been at a low point.

I haven’t posted weekly weigh in videos (or pictures) in quite awhile even though I’ve snapped pics of the scale! I said it’s because I haven’t had the time to post them…hahahaha what a lame a** excuse! It’s more like the fact that I haven’t been impressed with the weigh in’s and I’ve chosen to NOT make the time to post them.

Six Miles In Two Days

Oh yeah baby! I’ve clocked 6 miles (walking/jogging) in the last 2 days. It’s been a long time since I’ve walked outside and this is the first time I’ve jogged outside. It’s a completely different experience doing it outside and I’ll gladly take my treadmill inside at the gym any day! It’s a lot harder on me walking/jogging outside! My shins are bugging me again (not as bad as they were in the past), my back is sore and I have a huge blister starting on my left foot :-(   Of course this could all be because I was doing it at a super fast pace, way faster than I’m used to on the treadmill! My pace was 3.67 miles per hour! When I’m on the treadmill I only walk at 3.0 – 3.2 miles!

Ok but enough complaining about the pain. I feel great for the most part! And I’m even more excited because my best friend is up for the weekend and just recently started exercising (walking/jogging) about two weeks ago. Yesterday was the first time she’s ever walked 3 miles and even though she was sore this morning she still got up, got out there and did it again! I wish I could walk and exercise with her every day but we live about 3.5 hours away from one another so we can’t!

Anyways, I feel like I’m starting to really get my groove back. Now I’ve just got to 150% completely get back on track with my eating and things will be marvelous :-)
