Back From My Road Trip

3 Feb

I’ve been back home, from my 7 day ‘road trip’, since last night sometime after 7pm. I spent a little bit of time with my kiddo before putting him to bed and then hitting the sack myself! I was exhausted! Actually exhausted is an understatement!

I had so much fun! I was totally impressed with my ability to make mostly healthy choices (and considering I ate at a buffet several days that’s impressive!) and when I wanted something I allowed myself to have a couple bites of it! I even had a couple bites of dessert a few times!

Most of you probably don’t know what NAMS is – the event I was at – so I won’t go into much detail about it here but not only did I learn a ton of awesome internet marketing / affiliate marketing stuff at the conference I learned a lot more about me and the ability to control myself when it comes to food. The control I had was outstanding and I’m still so impressed with myself!

I really thought that I would blow it and not be able to maintain any sort of control over what food I put in my mouth. We’ll see how well I did tomorrow morning as I step on the scale. I’m not expecting a loss because I was on ‘vacation’ and wasn’t able to have complete control over my food intake (the hotel we stayed in didn’t have a very big menu and mostly provided a buffet for all 3 meals). I’ll be ok with whatever the scale says because I’m just so proud of myself for being so good while gone!

I didn’t workout every day like I planned but I did get a few workouts in so I’m proud of myself for that too! One morning I worked out I was kind of in 7th heaven watching the Army dudes work out ;-) Talk about motivation to keep on going! LOL

I’m so glad you did workout while you were there. It was hard waking up so early because those late nights were LATE! Total exhaustion and I will prepare before the next one by getting good sleep the few days before ha ha

I’m really proud of you. Traveling and staying healthy is hard and I think overall we both made pretty wise decisions give or take.

Angie – I wish I could have gotten out of bed every morning to workout but I was just so tired. Plus my toe was bugging me a lot. I did workout one night at the hotel on our way back to Michigan. I think we both did great when it came to making relatively good healthy choices while eating out every day!
