Burn Baby Burn!

Wowsers! No pain no gain right? Well if that’s the truth then let’s just say that my thighs should shrink like 10 inches after the squats I’ve been doing! My friend Mary started doing the 200 squats challenge so little miss competitive the great friend that I am I had to jump in too
I did the initial test Thursday night while my other friend Angel (who’s doing the challenge too!) laughed at my inability to do a proper squat rooted me on. I’m not quite sure what was so difficult about doing a squat but for whatever reason my body wasn’t moving the way it needed to for a proper squat. I actually thought Friday morning that this challenge would be a breeze because I had no pain in my legs or anything.
Then Friday night rolled around and Angel and I did some more squats. I did 15, 5 more than the night before and let’s just say that I was feeling it then! Saturday & Sunday my thighs were pretty sore. But I still managed to do day 1 of the squat challenge and pulled off 31 squats. Pretty lame compared to Angel and Mary but I did them and that’s what counts
Wednesday will be my next day, day 2 so hopefully by then the burning and soreness will have gone away! If 31 burns this bad I can only imagine what 51 or 91 or 101 is going to feel like…and I have to get all the way to 200????

Squats are brutal, I just did a bunch of them tonight in the P90x workout and my legs feel like jello. I hope your legs feel better so you can do more!

Yes squats are brutal! I hate them! I was supposed to do my next set of them today (well yesterday – Wednesday) but I just didn’t have time. So I’m going to have to make the time today.
I have to join. I’m not sure to be good at that but I’ll try. I’ll read more about the challenge tomorrow. I’m doing elliptical. I began with 5 minutes. It was so hard to do. I’m not in good shape. But today I made 13 minutes. My legs are sore.

The challenge starts out slow and builds up. Your initial test will tell you where to start and they give you guidelines on how many to do, when to do them, etc.
Congrats on 13 mins on the elliptical – those things are evil! lol
Way to go my friend Tishia! I really wished I would’ve recorded our night of squats!! Anyway today I did 94 for and my legs are really feeling like jello right now! I can’t believe I actually did that many!

Thank gosh you didn’t record our night of squats! That was embarrassing! LOL Actually you should have recorded us AFTER when we could hardly walk because our legs were so sore!

wow 94 squats. I did only 18 yesterday.
I’ll try with more squats tonight.
