Starting Point Pictures & A New Hairdo

Last time I never took starting point pictures…at least I don’t think I did. If I remember correctly I didn’t take pictures until I had already lost 30 lbs or so. This time around I wanted to have pictures from the get go, regardless of not liking how I look. It’s weird – I know I’m big fat obese but I don’t really get it until I look at pictures…if that makes any sense.

So here we go – starting point pictures

(technically this isn’t really starting point as I was 316 starting but this is the closet I have to starting point):

I just posted the other day about being frustrated that after 5 days of doing WW I hadn’t lost – in fact I was ticked off that I had gained – so I had my son hide the scale. My plan is to only weigh in once a month. Right now that’s the best decision for me.

Anyways, I was going to wait to treat myself to something fun when I lost some weight. But, I was in desperate need of doing something with my hair. One of my really close friends daughter (one of her daughters) is in cosmetology school so for super cheap I was able to get my hair done. I decided that I deserved to treat myself for getting back on track and working so hard at it.

So here we go – my new hairdo:

Bangs. Layers. Red streaks. Oh My!

I absolutely looooove it. The kiddo says I look like a rocker and he loves the new me. He told me I was the prettiest mom in the world. And if a 12 year old says it then I guess I have to believe it right?  🙂

I think I need to get some current pictures for my ‘start over’. LOL

Oh and I am so happy to hear that you are only going to weigh in once a month. I think that will be best for you. Just focus on eating healthy and exercising.

Are you going to NAMS? If so, start thinking about coming in a day early (that Wed.) and hit up Todd’s boxing gym with Natalie and myself. Jeff and Maritza might join us too.

Your hair is beyond fabulous!!! I’m so glad you did it now.
Good job on the before photos. I just took photos in my underwear that will never surface until I’m at goal. I erased them from the camera and put them in a secret file. But now I will know too.
Your vitality shines through all your photos. Always. You really sparkle. It’s going to be great to get rid of the excess weight while you’re still young and can own your full goddess glory.
Weighing once a month is a great idea!!!
